Brookstein Services created a winding stone walkway that sits over pea gravel that surrounds the evacuation pipes of the French drain system. The visible river stones and slate stairs add significant interest to the yard and function as part of the drain system. As a bonus, they used large stones to terrace the right side of the walkway creating three garden areas.
Brookstein Services removed a wooden deck entryway by creating a slate entryway with a roof extension and pergola. They eliminated the hazard of walking on a wet wood surface and provided a covered entry into the garage. The 16X16 foot slate deck created an outside living area that is used most of the year.
Brookstein Services used a man-made stone product and covered the typical chimney box found on wooden homes. This project added tremendous value and interest to the home.
Brookstein Services renovated the fireplace by using a man made stacked stone product from floor to ceiling, added a stone mantle, replaced the single off-center light with twin centered lights and created a slate hearth in front of the fireplace.
